Topics covered are High Pressure Aeroponic Root Growth in just 12 Days. How I’m using my CO2 monitor in the garden. A Time Lapse video of the effects of Green LED on dark cycle, Photosynthesis, potentially shortening Light Cycle due to light saturation.
This plant has tremendous growth and vigor due to the DIY Air Atomizing Aeroponics grow system. This system is a complete custom build starting with the silent air compressor which was made. Oh and shout out to Atomizer…. If you read this I just want to give you a quick thanks for bringing the unloader valve to my attention. My check valve is on it’s way with provisions of the unloader as well.
Air Atomizing Aeroponics appears to be leap years ahead of my older HPA system. Don’t get me wrong, I still do High Pressure Aeroponics to this day and I still love it! But there always seemed like there was a area of weakness while I was growing HPA, which was the oxygen to the root zone. AAA injects air to the root zone with every feed cycle. HPA you are just hoping to have enough ventilation exchange in the root chamber itself.
My outdoor HPA set up always had multiple vents to provide extra and constant air exchange while wind was blowing. Most systems out there run into this issue with the lack of oxygen exchange. In the future I’ll be doing a side by side comparison to actually see what the difference will be utilizing the same nutrients, and environment, with just a different feed system.
As for my goals with this grow is to learn as much as i can about the equipment I’m using. The capacity of what it can do, the room environment, and seeing if I can keep it in check.
I’ll be getting into PAR/PPFD/DLI soon! So, if you are into this techy stuff or if you’ve already done it… drop some knowledge and give a brother a helping hand figuring this stuff out lol.
So don’t forget to subscribe and support the cause!
Cheers!
Lots of inspiration, thankyou! I've been thinking of building a hpa system myself. This morning I was wondering if using air in the system instead of a high pressure pump would be helpful. After watching your, videos I'm convinced air is the way to go! I would love to see more about your spray tips. I read you noted 3D printing your own nozzle, but hesitant buying the printer. Auto cad fusion360 is free to the hobbyist and student. You can work up a design and send it off to be printed that way. I also thought seeing as the air brush failed, what about a spray gun for car paint? First thought is they are designed for thicker paint so that may be a way around the plugging issue of the air brush. I hope to see many more updates as you perfect your system.
Off topic: could you do a vid on your current nozzles? Ty
Wow…love the time lapse. Its great that you can take stuff and put together…this is something I am lacking and don't know how to built things…so I will have to invest money in getting all parts needed to built HPA BUT the more I search the more I am leaning towards a AAA…maybe not perfect but close to it…lol. Sometime I get myself confuse between HPA and AAA since they are so close in ways…I think…lol. Thank you.

The formula for DLI=PPFD x light hours per day x 0.0036. Running 12/12 you`ll need least 700ppfd for a DLi of 30
