A triangle with the sides labeled and the 90° shown would be helpful. Then the formula a2 x b2 = c2. Then show the plug and chug. Might help the viewers. I like your videos a lot.
Why use Pythagorean Theorem for roof rafters, when there are much simpler ways. All you need know is the width of your addition and the pitch of your roof.
