How to build a simple planter box from reclaimed pallet wood and hardwood fence palings. Planter boxes come in all shapes and sizes and mine is a little different than most. It’s taller and narrower than many of the ones you see. I really like the design because it’s a bit different and it doesn’t take up much room due to its narrowness. It would be great on a balcony, deck or next to the front door. There are no set rules regarding how big or small you have to make your planter box. It all depends where the planter box is going and how many plants you want grow in it and how big those plants are going to be.

Nicely done mr. But can i ask you, what size nails have you used, in millimeters? cheers…..Richi….Islas canarias ……
Just finished your Planter Box…but it looked so lonely I built a 2nd one and still not satisfied I went the whole Hog and included a bench Seat connecting both Planters…now all I have to do is give it a coat {or 2} of Antique Pine and plant it up…only problem is I've orders for several more which I can do without as I want to keep them all for myself…
Simple and Practical and very easy to Assemble…But PLEASE stick to what you do best and leave the "Singing" to someone else…
Might I make a recommendation sir. Since your exposed to a pretty hot climate year around I thought I'd share a planting tip with you. Mixing your potting soil with Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP) will allow you to reduce the amount of time watering plants as well as prevent over watering. SAP's can be purchased online but if your looking for a cost effective way they're also found inside of baby diapers. They're perfectly safe to use. Sadly I can't take credit for this as it was told to me by Grant Thompson, a fellow youtuber. Here's a link to his video on the subject

uncle! r bunnies exclusive only to australia? i guess it's equals to home depot here in the usa
As an adult who works in a fairly multicultural environment, you'd think i'd stop being amused at the differences in jargon and slang used around the world haha but alas, I love it. Very good video!
Hi Shane, thanks for all your tips. Just wondering if you could do a video on how to mark and cut 45* degree angles. Every time i seem to stuff it up and cut one side smaller. Please Help Mate
we will try it
LOVED IT
That was awesome! I think I'll have to build one of these. Just scored some pallet wood 🙂
And I'm a bunnings addict myself. I used to live across the road from one for a few years and I loved just crossing the road to grab my daily fix of whatever. My mum used to say to me "are you buying one screw at a time or what?"
Again a decent job there Shane
Nice job Nackers
Another great job, mate.
I often wonder about what size nails/brads you have in that gun, and don't they rust?
Excellent video uncle – from sunny Puerto Rico , keep those videos coming !
