    Great sustainable idea…
I live at the NJ shore where much of the "soil" is sand and not great for growing veggies and herbs. I have been using pots but have serious problems with squirrels and chipmunks digging up my plants. This is a great solution and certainly easier care. I will remove the unsightly labels as my neighbors will better appreciate the plantings that way.
    Thanks for the informative video!

Creative, sustainable, fun! Do plants grow more efficiently if their roots aren't exposed to light? For example, would it help to line each bottle with a layer of paper? or would the paper mold?…time to experiment! Thank you!

I'm also hoping I have a few bottles left over to make the ties from thin strips of bottles. Seen a video where they use washers and a pencil sharpener blade to cut the bottles into one long plastic tie so hoping that will work to secure it to my wire fence

could a few worms be added to these towers? Collecting my bottles to start this next spring, and lucky enough to have access to a huge well rotted horse muck heap and hoping the worms in that would survive in these towers!
