Houseplant FAILS! Indoor Gardening Lessons from Trial and Error
Not everything is always coming up roses. Gardening lessons come in the form of blooming, lush green success and dry, dead (and sometime expensive) fails. Here are three of my recent indoor gardening fails. See a Greek Myrtle that had aspirations to be a Bunny Mellon inspired topiary, a droopy African violet, and paper whites that grew too tall and flopped over despite good staking and boozy-water.

The African violet pot – yes it absorbs through the bottom or inner pot but don't keep it constantly full of water. Once a week put some water in it and a half an hour or so later dump what's left out. I think you'll find your plant much happier.
