No one has done a video on how / where a valley rafter lands on the ridge beam
Span – Run + 1 1/2 " = Ridge Length ( if you are using typical 2x dimensional lumber
Does the Rise of the Roof have any Affect on the Hip Roof Ridge Length ?
It wasn't clear how to calculate
i can barley hear or understand a damn word you are saying!
great video, but my question is, how can I find the roof height/rise without using trigonometric method, can't I just think of any number I want to use as height or rise?
Can you make another vid using ft and inches please
sir thanxx for sharing these videos but sir i have a one question that is how to calculate concrete volume of roof structure of same drawing please give me some knowledge of that how to find am waiting for your answer

Say you lengthen your Ridge, and you won't get that 45 degrees. how do you figure then?
Great video's. I'm actually a chippie and I've cut ad pitched a lot of roofs but I forget thing after I've not done one for a while like whether or not the half span line is the edge or the centre of the first rafter. I always watch your video's for a quick refresher.
Good video well explained, another way is to add a saddle board for the crown rafter and the Hips to be fully seated against, when the crown rafter is set against the saddle board it also needs a small triangular block fixed to the underside of the plum cut allowing the longer length of the Hip rafter plumb cuts to fully rest against.
Great video as always 😀
Great video as usual.
Thank you!
