We had a wonderful time this morning at Marcum’s Nursery And Tree Farm for our 2nd kids gardening festival of the year! Thank you to Marcum’s for allowing us to host it at their place! Thank you also to all of the volunteers that came out to help us. This wouldn’t have been possible without you all. I didn’t become interested in gardening until I was 29 years old. My hope is that these festivals will inspire kids to take an interest in getting outside and living a healthier lifestyle. We plan to have more throughout the season for anyone that missed our first two. Stay tuned to our page for upcoming events! Great learning experience for children ,they will remember it into adulthood an become great gardeners, that's what we hope for. Your doing an excellent job getting engaged in something that will last a lifetime.

Schools don't really encourage gardening for children as a staple program.
So there is a huge disconnect from how we get food and where it comes from.
Same with preparing food to eat, get it from a freezer and heat in the microwave.
These types of local programs run,by folks together are so awesome!
Great ideas and thank you for sharing the green thumb love.
