This system looks awesome! I had a question about a custom setup though.

I intend to use this system with 4 large size plants (roots large enough to fill a 15L bucket), but they will all require different feed concentrations. Is it possible to hook a single pump up with a 4 way solenoid to individual accumulator tanks and mix the nutrients into each that way? That way I don't have to daisy chain all the spray heads and have them feeding the same feed water at the same time? (and could potentially use 1 pump for several groups of 6-10 nozzles? one at a time basically)

Opening and closing of solenoids to the different routes will be handled by computer control so I am not worried about cnc. I am just wondering if this is possible + if you maybe have some suggestions or a better way to do this.

    Much appreciated!

Don't use bleach to sterilize and clean the parts. Use 35% Hydrogen Peroxide (not the stuff you get at the drug store) Dilute it down…. about 3 ml/gallon of water. Bleach leaves a residue….. Hydrogen Peroxide breaks down and releases oxygen which the plants need anyway.

@seveholtz420 There's a lot going on in those pressurized lines, after being in a tub of nutrients, sucked through a filter and pressurized to over 100 psi.. Then, driven through high pressure tubing, fittings, nozzles, and sometimes even pressure tanks. Imagine a water droplet taking this journey and finally….! 30-80 microns still seem like a big sway? the reason we call it a sweet spot is because NASA has determined 50 microns to be ideal.

Thanks for the questions. Our spread is about 30-80 microns and we use what we feel to be the optimal nozzles to achieve this HPA "sweet spot" micron range at 80+ psi.

There has been tons of debate on this in our offices, at shows, and with our consulting clients. Someone needs to do a real scientific analysis on HPA. Our systems were designed for reaserch. Perhaps a University would like to do a double blind research project where the only variable is the irrigation method. You could set two systems side by side configured to different styles. The best yield I have ever seen was from River Current. But was that the grower? Phenotype? Nutes? IDK

    Thanks for the question!
We typically see increased vegetative growth from the time the plants are "hardened in" and roots are beginning to grow, all the way through the end of a flowering cycle. With HPA it seems like the plants never stop growing. We're not sure if these results are unique to our system, or just reflect the nature of HPA growing. We have seen other information which seems to indicate continual vegetative growth is a by-product of most HPA systems. Incl. TreeFrogs

NASA thinks HPA is the best method FOR SPACE! When you pay $10K- lb for launching water, HPA is the best way. There is no gravity in space. So no NFT is possible. Our system is designed to keep your plants happy through harvest on Earth. How many people do you know that have grown in space? We don't know any. But we have met thousands of growers here on Earth. We don't dispute that HPA is a cool way to grow. We just say that it's not the ONLY way to grow. Geek=Tech, not insulting
