Hydroponics experiment, kratky.
As I said in my 10w experiment I was going to try to grow Micro Tom tomatoes intead, suprisingly the previous test ended up in a bigger yield. One positive thing from this test though is that the plants keep producing fruits are still alive after 4 months.
For your information: The plant is completely grown in water with the basic nutrients and minerals the plant will need, so called hydroponics or the Kratky method.
Type of tomato: Micro Tom
Grow lights: Ikea’s 6w grow light, unfortunately they might not be produced anymore.
Nutrients: Masterblend tomato 4-18-38, Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0 and epsom salt

did you put nutrients during germination period? or just water?
Is this dwarf tomatoes or normal cherry
Thank you so much for this video! Simple, straightforward – just what I needed.
Great video, thank you! What nutrients are in the water and do you have to change the water?
Nice grow how many hours per day did you have the light on?
Well. For a handful of cherry tomatoes you'll get away with lower wattage lights, but it won't do much for an indeterminate beef tomato.
I've grown both indoors under fluorescent lights.
800W of them. The problem wasn't really the amount of light, but the amount of light over the big surface area the plants occupies.
There is no good substitute for the sun.
Btw, is the plastic tub also from ikea?
Wow! And I thought you needed 100w+ energy consuming grow lights to get anything decent
What type of foam are you using and where did you get it from?
Ikea has amazing led grow lights ! Very good spectrum and efficiency !
It's still hard to believe! 🙂
And it's only 6W. Wow I'm impressed!
PS. Your video is so simple yet relaxing. Love it!
Nice video bro..i love to watch this kind of video that shows every update on a single video
This is a great video for demonstrating just how little it takes to get going with hydroponics. Only nutrients and a 6w light. Keep up the great work, I think it's inspirational.
