DIADEM’s D-150 multilayered extensive system will covers Eastern-Europe biggest, 430,000 sqf greenroof in Budapest on the South-Wastewater Treatment Facility. From Budapest’s (Hungary) most densely populated central area the untreated waste-water flows into the Danube at present. Only a third of the total waste-water from the capital (Pop: 1.8 Million) is cleaned. The primary aim of the 468 Million Euro “Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant Facilities” project is, to collect at the water at 16 points and let it into the facility. Consequently, it reduces the pollution load on the ecology of the coastline.
