The green roofs designed for wildlife, biodiversity and nature conservation sit on floors 9 and 10 of the London Underground offices above St. James’ tube station, London, UK.
The two roofs are the latest designs in the evolution of the brown roof idea in the UK. After a six intensive study of green roofs and biodiversity a range of design solutions have been arrived at to support rare spiders, beetles and bees (espcially bumblebees).
Designed by www.greenroofconsultancy.com and installed by Blackdown this video shows the transformation of the roof form isntallation in November 2009 to November 2010.
