hello, I would like to graft a ficus using the crown technique, the plant was 2m high in a pot, I cut it clean about 20cm from the ground, it has only 2 twigs I would like to create the crown. I do not know which is the best time, if I have to keep the twigs to graft in the fridge, and if I have to remove the leaves from the twigs, since it is an evergreen. I have seen your videos on this type of grafting, but they are related to hibernating fruit plants, what can I do? Thanks.
you can practice the crown grafting to the ficus at the end of winter, or in late spring. All the foglei of the twigs should be cut in half, or even a third from the attachment on the branch.
