Types of Hydroponic Systems
Soilless culture
Gericke originally defined hydroponics as crop growth in mineral nutrient solutions. Hydroponics is a subset of soilless culture. Many types of soilless culture do not use the mineral nutrient solutions required for hydroponics.
Plants that are not traditionally grown in a climate would be possible to grow using a controlled environment system like hydroponics. NASA has also looked to utilize hydroponics in the space program. Ray Wheeler,a plant physiologist at Kennedy Space Center’s Space Life Science Lab, believes that hydroponics will create advances within space travel. He terms this as a bioregenerative life support system.

This is a bull shit commercial for AN whose co owner is a child rapist and you ppl wanna support a guy like that gen hydro is the industry standard my flowers are fucking bomb at well over a pound a light and have had strains tested at 18% thc and better so don't buy into this bull shit hype real growers should recognize this is a marketing gimmick let's put one ingredient in one bottle so you gotta buy 20 products a good three part base with a couple additives is all your plant needs 1000 watts and co2 are what increases yields for the most part

Hydroponics is a great system but it have some drawback, you must shop for some "plant food", nutrients and supplements which may be high-priced. Before building any hydroponics system, you have to look at the advantage of aquaponics system, which could automate 95% of work.

There may be cheaper products out there, Brett, but there isn't anything better. And "cost-effective" raises the question of quality and other highly subjective measurements.

Personally, it's worth a bit (and if you do all the application rate math and so on, it is just a "bit") more money up front for me to get a much higher quality harvest, a much larger harvest, and to have less work chasing and worrying about pH along the way. Saving money is nice, but not at the cost of yield and quality.

Ya it's a little over priced & over hyped, but if your just learning this stuff works well. PH perfect makes life simpler lol, but there's better and more cost effective stuff if your into the whole saving money thing

I see comments from people bashing A.N. I bet theajority of them have never tried them. Some people doubt their claims of superior results. I can say they are the best prouduct I know of. One major reason is that they were engineered to grow only certain crops if you know what I mean. The other companies made their products to grow everything. I proved that to myself buy calling customer service of many of the companies

Well you see, some people watch the video and know something about growing. While you're busy whining about "no THC results" other people are LOOKING AT THE THC RESULTS IN THE VIDEO. Moron.

Those of use who've actually grown a few plants know that plants can look like different STRAINS if they're given significantly different growing conditions. Advanced Nutrients – properly administered – make enough of a difference that the plants will be noticeably different.

That's actually not true. The whole thing with Oregon was just a bunch of political BS.

Certain elements in the bureaucracy got mad that AN had received approval for Kushie Kush as a product specifically for MMJ, reversed the decision, and then went complete apeshit on every little technicality they could find with the labeling laws.

Lots of states are like that – they'll find excuses to reject label applications for things they think are MJ-related, and all the states have different laws.

Advanced nutrients are crap, even the state of Oregon put them to the test, they not only DIDN'T have the NPK ratio's they claimed (or the micro-nutrients, either), but many products were also found to be "contaminated" and a stop sell order was placed on their products for their use in producing "medical grade" Marijuana, not sure if hydro stores still sell it, but this is 1 patient who will never use their poisions.
