we use either dishwash- or first aid gloves. We also have a bokashi bucket and a Joraform JK400 composter. If you ever decide to get a bokashi bucket? Please don't put the bokashi straight into your wormtower. Let it first compost in a Joraform at high temperature. We use an old electric kitchen shreder to pre-shred our compostable greens, we collect our egg shells in our freezer. When we have collected enough we put them in the oven at 300 degrees and afterwards grind them to dust in an old spice grinder. feeding unshredded pinapple skin and crushed egg shells to worms is like feeding a T-bone steak to a newborn baby. It'll takes ages to rot down before the worms are even able to nible on it. pre-shredding and pre-grinding will perform sheer magic for your wormfeed.?

Looks awesome CHristy..I would also recommend you go to the you tube where John Kohler loads the grow tower 1 he got with all the soils he would recommend inc the minerals and success would be guaranteed to get the best nutrients for your new crop coming this spring..His web is Growing Your Greens.com and he is a fountain of knowledge..its about a 57 minute vid but sure is worth it about soils and minerals. I like this tower way better and so should you..grow well and thanks for the upload.?
