    The way I see it, in the tropics there really isn't a winter season so a 4-year-old tree is equivalent to an 8year+ tree in a temperate climate.

    Some tips on the chempedak/jackfruit – you can remove the sap from your hands/knife easily with WD-40. Also, the seeds can be boiled (with a pinch of salt) and eaten. Tastes really nutty and delicious!
