Another very effective way to irrigate the garden through the drip system, as it allows to administer water to the plants directly on their roots; moreover it is also quite convenient as this system is equipped with a practical timer, with which the irrigation schedules can be easily programmed, saving time and effort. Also in this case it is possible to make it without the help of expert personnel. You will need to purchase the kit from a specialized DIY or gardening store. It includes a long flexible plastic tube, generally about sixty meters long, and the fittings to fix it and customize it according to different needs. At one end of the tube will then be installed an onion device that will transform the jet of water into a light drizzle. If the enclosed instructions are carried out correctly, the assembly work should be completed within a couple of hours. The drip system is also convenient because it can be precisely planned, thanks to the timer that allows you to start the irrigation session and turn it off automatically. To obtain an excellent result, it is advisable to choose the irrigation system suitable for the type of terrain configuration. The various options offer different levels of efficiency and cost. The classic flexible rod, even if it seems a convenient and economical means, turns out to be one of the less effective methods, especially in the period of summer heat: this is because the water, not having a precise direction, ends up going to other parts of the garden. , also involving an economic waste. It must also be borne in mind that most of the water dispensed in this way evaporates into the air and consequently cannot reach the roots of the plants, where it is required. This method allows for a slow and steady loss of water into the soil.
