Thank you, informative video.
I really like this video because it is so practical and made me realised what to do first before I start one patch of my garden. Planing based on our needs is the key. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video.
Very good explanation of garden design.
Excellent video!!!
Normally things like this bore me, but you've actually piqued my interest in designing my garden and now my backyard!
Your making it look easy ..thanks
I am in USA and an edible garden landscape designer. I love this! I’m working on coaching and designing usable and beautiful spaces!
Brilliant, so inspiring! I'm that gardener who goes out and buys lots of plants and excitedly puts them in the ground with no plan… after watching your video, I'm going to sit down and master a garden plan! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for the professional advice!
Love this! I'm a gardener, but I do tend to just throw things in haphazardly without a plan. I'm moving to a new home, and plan to use your suggestions. Can't wait to see the rest of this series!
“….the tree has to go cuz it may kill somebody” – not funny but it made me laugh…..you have a charming personality and share an incredible amount of information….
so lucky to have found your channel❤️
Exactly what I needed right now!
Oh my. You are absolutely amazing. I am your example of Willy nilly – put the plant someone gave you into the ground. Whew. I am so grateful you are willing to share your education.
Excellent guidance. My garden, as with others, has evolved over time, as have my tastes. I’m going to get the info needed and process your info, then looking forward to your successive videos. Thank you for sharing your expertise and inspiration.
Фото полей прямо как будто рядом с моей дачей снимали)))
This video was VERY helpful. I’ve been looking for something like this. Thank you! I look forward to doing my homework and continuing the series.
Absolutely loved this!!! Thank you
Trust me when I say that anyone who is watching this video is definetely "not bored." Don't apologize for teaching. 🙂 As someone who just likes to plant without planning, this is a great video. Thankyou.
Thank you so much! This is so helpful. I don't feel so overwhelmed by the huge project and endless choices. Thank you so much!!
This is FANTASTIC! I love learning design. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Wonderful video! It is so helpful. You provided me structure in my thoughts. Thank you so very much!!!
This is so helpful! You helped me see the practical side of gardening…I’m one of those that just plops in pretty plants, but I’m trying to make a better plan! Blessings! ❤️
This is awesome. So afraid to start and this helps direct me!
Hey Yulia – thanks so much for this incredibly helpful video! Can I please ask how you would account for sun patterns changing throughout the year? Will there be an issue if planning a garden in winter and there being different sun patterns in summer when stuff is growing and you're outside more? Thanks! x
Hi there, I've just started out gardening after the first UK lockdown and now heading in to garden design (mainly flower beds, shrubs, trees etc). I found this video really useful. It was exactly what I was looking for. Simple, informative and inspiring. Thank you. Subscribed!
Thank you Yulia for the series, now I can have a foundation to built my garden design ideas. I spend soo much time agonizing over where and how I would place things in that "hazy" vision I have for my garden, lol, flower beds, walkways, etc. With your clear instructions and hands on explanation, I believe that both I and my garden will be in a better place.
Very informative. Very well structured presentation. How I wish we would have seen this 44 years ago when we would have been able to afford more and physically been able to do more. We are on just under one acre…alot to figure out….alot to do….. little by little…..so one can enjoy the process and each other and the yard….. Many will benefit from these programs. Thank you for the time you have put into all of this. We also watch , Garden Answer, which encourages design and flow, but also like you, they don't charge into a project.
Awesome! I live in Calgary Alberta and most vids are from a warmer zone. ugh This gives me a really good idea of how to plan!! So excited! Thankyou!!
Great info. Thank you!
Wow. So practical. Thank you very much. I have just realized a couple of things that I need to start with that I have totally overlooked for so long that just don’t make sense for our yard!
I've been looking for this lesson for close to 2 years now. Thank you so much! Subscribed!
This is just what I needed! thank you. I've been watching and learning alot about gardening the last 6 months and I'm so excited to start my new garden in the spring — though learning that much of the work really begins now. Thank you for putting this together, you are easy to listen and learn from and I appreciate you sharing your expertise with us. And I'm going to work on the "homework" you suggested! I hope to share my garden progress with you next spring (with any success, that is). Thank you again Yulia.
Yuliya, You are wonderful!! Thank you for this garden design series! So much helpful consideration and information.

Love this video. You make it look so easy. Very practical.
So hard to find "actual" garden design lessons for those of us interested in space planning to enhance the flow, visualization & use of our gardens. So far I am beyond delighted with this first lesson & cannot wait to few all of your videos. Thank you so much!!
Loved this video! Can't wait to watch the next! I would love more detail! You didn't bore me at all!
“Let me know if you like this video”…. You are adorable!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! it is so helpful and something I’ve always wanted to know how to do.
I found you because of “the Impatient Gardener” and I’m so so glad I did.
Now gotta go do “my homework”, I’m so excited!
