i actually am growing a small forest of Juju
    i have 2 sherwoods, 3 Li and a coco
last year i had only got a handful of fruit from 1 tree
this year i am getting dozens, and the other small trees
are just starting to produce a few.
i would say in 3 years i will be getting over 1000 fruit.
    yes… twice a year !

i like these guys a lot
i didnt think i would, because i generally do not like apples
but they are sooo much better
they are not "woody" like an apple
and they are much sweeter with ,more flavor.

    good luck on you harvest.

I agree w you 100% that these fruits are so sweet, crunch and fresh tasting, I buy 3-4 lbs. each week when they are in season because the season is very short. I don't know why I've not planted one in my garden. What's the best time of the year to plant them? early spring?

    Hi Jake,
Do you know Chinese people use the inside part of the seed of Jujube fruits in some of their medicines? These trees grow in my country (Myanmar, used to call Burma), and our farmers trade dried jujube fruits to China from border… (with very cheap price, of course). Just sharing.

Hi Jake, what can wet tow here in Michigan?

  • Betsy Oman 1 year ago

Haha. You can't figure out why everyone doesn't have a jujube tree. One reason is because they don't survive in growing zone 3–and I really feel safer with growing zone 2 items.
