I learned my lesson…bigger container…and here it is. A 5 gallon “tote” container. It was pretty easy to set up once I got used to the drill. I planted 2 seedlings in the 5 gallon container and they are growing fast and look great. I will video as they grow and update one they bear fruit. Thank you all for contributing comments and suggestions, I look forward to harvest day!

Can you tell me what light bulb you are using? I'm looking for a screw in LED 6500K bulb.
You look and sound like my cousin Mary, only much smarter, lol
I'm am on my second attempt at kratky tomato. The first I uaes masterblend nutrient solution. This time I am using a full line of nutrients from a local hydroponics store. The plants get the the stage of starting the second set of leaves and the first set start to die off. Any recommendations?
Hello, my kratky plants in mason jars and other large containers are all dying. At first they look ok as I transition them from soil to hydroponics, but after no more then a few weeks their leaves start dropping and sagging, and then rot off… happened to my tomatoes and basil among others. What could I be doing wrong?
Should the water be touching the net cups or below? Thank you!
Do you have a link to the 6400 K lights you found at Home Depot? I was there today and my store did not have them.
vere good mem im india joyab
Love it and thank you . I’m gonna do it very soon waiting on all my stuff to come in : you were talking about doing cucumbers I watch a gentleman do one on cucumbers and he did a variety of cucumbers that didn’t require pollination picalino from Osborn seeds . Have you ever heard of them ??
hey pretty cool, what sort of light do you use (spectrum) and do they have any other light like a window?
was wondering if it would work without any sunlight 🙂
Tikki O you explain things so well it is enjoyable listening to you.
I now look forward in your next video how the changes take place in the solution (pH and TDS etc) as the tomato plants grow and how the solution is adjusted accordingly.
Love your clear directions!
Hi, I'm wondering what type of support you'll be using for the tomatoes, or if that is even necessary since the variety of tomato is determined and won't grow more than 2 feet in height. I can't wait to see your results! Ty for posting!
Will you hand pollinate the cukes?
I was waiting for this latest installment. It was worth it. Keep it coming.
How long did it take your seeds to get that big? I am doing some seeds right now and they are growing really slow. Maybe because they are in my cool basement.
I love the explicit directions, so important for those who are clueless. Im so glad you did tomatoes and cucumbers because I want to grow them too and I hear its not good via hydroponics due to their size. So happy you made it work, awesome! I like the snowy background! Oh, I do have a question, its about the lighting for the tomatoes and cucumbers, any recommendations on what to use, how often, and how close?
the kelvin of light?
Looking good. I'll be sure to watch the follow-ups.
