awesome idea ! my garden didn't fair so well this year…I get into it early but as the season carries on I'm tired when I come in from work, I don't feel like working it. hopefully that's gonna change soon ! i'm looking to retire by end of this year. gonna work my garden til spring, get things in place including trellises !

Garden looks gorgeous! We did bucket garden this year. Planted a ton, Ton of marigolds in the garden area. So I can harvest for next year and sell.

Duke, great video. I’m going to TSC and getting those posts and fence. I grew spaghetti squash two years ago, I trained it up my little wire fence, I think it makes the fruit and vine tougher when gravity plays a part. Usually I let it spread, but I need the space. Great info bud!!!!!

First off brother, I need to apologize because I have missed like four of your videos because YouTube is no longer sending me notifications even though I have the bell check. And the trellis looks really good and hopefully your butternut squash will do good on it. And like you said no harm done by trying this method. Thanks for sharing brother.

Hey Duke. That's a find looking garden you have there!! I like the way you kept the panels up off the ground too. I'll be looking forward to the updates. I don't for some reason, this video didn't show up in my notifications. Thanks!!!

Good idea on the trellis, helps keep the dirt off the squash, maybe it'll run up, at first I thought it was cucumbers, one of my first jobs as a kid in summer was picking cucumbers and hauling hay, and they weren't on a trellis, got paid by the pound on the cucumbers, they'd want slice size, dill size, or I hated it when they wanted the baby sweets, seem you'd pick forever before getting a 5 gallon bucket of those, hurts my back just thinking about it.

Hey Duke, I've never thought of doing that. I can't wait for the update. everything is so soggy here in North Mississippi. Whoever is doing the rain dance needs to stop ! haha

Thanks for sharing Mr. D! You have a nice garden there. I only planted some maters, bell peppers, and a few different varieties of cantaloupe this year and they are doing fair so far. Some guys came over a few weeks ago to update the fiber optic wire in the ground through a part of my property and the trackhoe smoothed out a nice lane near my garden. A few days ago I saw some trails of butternut squash plants lined up through that clearing! The seeds were from previous plants from last season. I’m happy with this! Have a good one Sir!

Duke, the famous ancient geometer, Euclid of Alexandria, couldn't have laid out a straighter trellis than you and Mrs. Gitter did here! I can't wait to see if the squash make use of it! Great job!

Hi Duke. You did a great job. I did not know about the clips. I used bailing wire on some and zip ties on some of the cattle panels. But I will look for the clips. Hope you are doing well.
