The irrigation systems are different: underground, above ground, drip. The drip irrigation system drops the water that is deposited on the ground very slowly. It is an irrigation, in which the system absolutely does not need a water pressure because it is a micro irrigation. Basically the system should optimize water consumption and can also use micro sprayers that wet the entire soil around the plant. The drip irrigation system is mainly used in agriculture for industrial crops. Drip irrigation does not provide a single irrigation system, but different types precisely to offer irrigation that can best correspond to the needs of the same plant. It is also possible to bury the driplines to avoid the presence of the pipes on the surface. The latter method allows plants to grow anywhere and also works perfectly as if it were an external irrigation system. The elements that make up a drip irrigation are the ducts, the drips and the valves. Pipes are the pipes that are located in the ground or in the garden, the water flows out through the drips and the valves are used for opening and closing the system. Drip irrigation is not widely used in gardens mainly because the external pipes would create an aesthetic problem of a certain proportion. This is why it is always preferred to choose an underground irrigation system. The history of this irrigation system dates back to 1860 and originates in Germany thanks to agronomists who experimented with sub irrigation. Only after the Second World War, also thanks to the development of the plastic sector, was it a widely used system. Over the years, the system has spread almost everywhere and this has also allowed it to be improved and perfected.
To create a drip irrigation system, you must first have a water source. If there is no canal nearby, it is preferable to have a well. Through a pipeline, the water is conveyed to the irrigation system, and irrigation is carried out by opening and closing the system. The drips are the elements from which the drops of water that are deposited on the ground next to the plants come out. A dispenser is used to dose the required amount of water. The drip tray is equipped with a filter to avoid clogging. The irrigation of agricultural fields, in reference to some crops, is fundamental and this system allows to solve every problem. Once the system that covers the entire land has been created, it will be sufficient to activate the system to have adequate daily irrigation. Water filtration may not be necessary in condominium gardens, where already filtered water is used. Obviously, to know if it is necessary to apply a filter, it is essential to carry out analyzes, which will confirm the need for it or not.

It is important to underline that the drip irrigation system is mainly used to irrigate the fields, and also guarantees an excellent distribution of fertilizers. In many areas of Italy, water is scarce and this is an excellent way to irrigate the fields. Nurseries also often use the same system. The drip irrigation system can be connected to a timer and in this way it is absolutely not necessary to remember to open and close the valve for irrigation. A drip irrigation system can also be built personally without necessarily resorting to a gardening company. Of course the system is very simple. It is necessary to have a main pipe with sections so that each is projected towards a plant, and a drip tray at the end. Using a programmer, the system can also operate automatically. This is a very quick solution but it certainly requires time and patience. Everything you need to make it can be purchased at gardening or DIY stores. Furthermore, it is a system that can always be expanded by adding more meters of pipe. Water saving is assured, but excellent irrigation of the same plant is also ensured.
All plants present in nature need constant and often daily irrigation to grow. This is a task that can only be facilitated thanks to the use of automatic irrigation systems, which, thanks to the presence of solenoid valves, connected to a control unit, automatically manage the irrigation system. Drip systems are part of the family of automatic irrigation systems. These are based on the precise and constant administration of water to the plants and by reducing evapotranspiration, they allow to obtain a good saving of water. The water is supplied thanks to the use of micro-sprinklers called drippers that wet only a small surface of the soil, the one in the immediate vicinity of the plant. To build a system of this type, in addition to the drippers, also a source of water, such as a well or a drinking water tap, and pumps of different diameters are necessary. Drip plants are used in hedges as well as in shrub plantations.
