Reservoir update in a middle of a heat wave on the east coast 104 degrees average for the past three days with 40 percent humidity. Average water temperture has been around 90 degrees.

I wonder how much you could cool it with a small radiator and a solar powered fan to draw air across it? I would imagine your pump could pull or push the water through the radiator and put it in the shade to draw cooler air. I guess the biggest concern would be the effects of salts or nutrient solution buildup in the radiator.
Wouldn't it be easy to keep the water cool by freezing a water bottle or 20 oz soda bottle filled with water and dropping it in the cooler?

Mike I think you should use something else besides wood for your dip stick. The wood will soak up the water and may not show you a true idea of your water level. Thanks for the update.
