Awesome – you rock my Kasbah! I work in remote Australia teaching kids about growing food – I am super keen to use some of your systems. Have you got a design for starting heaps of seedlings at once?

  • You mentioned on another forum about not covering the buckets but it got too much rain water so you planned to use covers this year. How would you make a cover? Thanks for the help!

Do you ever completely drain your nutrients or do you just refill it everyday? I ask because of potential algae but the drain hole might solve that I guess?

Can this method be used with only one bucket and the lid? What I mean is could I put the lid on, then drill a hole for a net cup and have only the net cup filled with say… grow rocks? Thereby using the rest of the bucket for nutrients and air? Could you show us how you fill these buckets in once set up?

What size net cups would you use instead of solo(Or do you think solo works better?) I feel like larger net cups might have stuff falling into the solution.

Are you using soil? If so, how is this hydro? It seems more like an automatic water delivery system than hydro. Though, if you are using clay or some other soiless substrate, then I agree it is hydro.
