Full instructions will be posted on HomeMade-Modern.com
My friends over at The Home Depot asked me to host one of their FREE DIY workshops at the Manhattan Store on West 23rd street September 12th at 10:00am. The work shop teaches how to make this really cool Hanging Planter. I took that idea of hanging plants and created a copper rack for hold potted herbs that can turn a window into a productive herb garden. At the workshop we will be showing how to make the original hanging planter and displaying the finished copper herb garden. I will be there to answer questions and share DIY ideas and stories. You can register for the workshop here:

the workshop is being held at stores all around the country so make sure to put in your zip code. Me and the copper herb garden will only be at the Manhattan Home Depot on West 23rd street.

I am going to try this on the cheap with electrical conduit. I will still need to use the copper fittings, as there doesn't seem to be a viable alternative among the electrical fittings. The contrast might actually be nice though, and I can always paint them.
10 feet of 1/2" copper is about $12 at my local hardware store. 10 feet of 1/2" electrical conduit is about $2.50!
if you have copper tube "sweating" equipment, it's actually better! super glue is not the most ecological but it'll still do the job though!
the problem is, how do you clean and open the window?
i love this. not only is it helpful to have an out-of-the-way storage unit for fresh herbs, but it's so nice to look at and damn i love this color.
very nice. I will try it.
Are you married? I could use a man like you in my life.
this is incredible. i love it
With all that copper, wasn't it crazy expensive? Not to mention all the T-fittings. :O
Thumps up ! Greetings from Germany 🙂
Thanks for the idea to use copper piping in one of my projects. I took copper piping and parts from a mic stand to make an overhead camera rig/mount. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG-2YqNbN3g
