This video discusses mosquito control of non-circulating, hydroponic tanks (Kratky Hydroponics) by placing fiberglass window screen in the tanks just below the net pots or accelerator pots.
The Hawaii Department of Health has published an excellent bulletin on mosquitoes

"Till now I have followed many different classes on Hydroponics. Many uses scientific verbiage that is difficult to understand at times. Hydroponics  step by step is exactly the opposite *[ Check Details Here ===> fb.com/Easy-Hydroponics-Systems-166096780618260/app/208195102528120 } our system was not only informative, but also easily read because it uses a conversational tone that caught my attention and kept me wanting to read more. Thanks for creating a system that makes Hydroponics fun and exciting."

Can't you just grow the plants directly on the net? Put the grow medium (rockwool or other) on the net which barely touches the water then the roots grow through the net?

Is this prof Kratky himself? I read the Kratky method PDF from hawaii.edu website few months ago, and just realized how the mosquito net, that was mentioned in the PDF, suppose to be installed from this video. Thanks

Another question is that: why can't you just fill the whole box with LECA / cocoir, fill it with nutrients, and let the plants grow like normal Kratky method? There wouldn't be any chance for the mosquito problem.

I live in Singapore public housing, and mosquito is major issue since it can cause dengue and Zika outbreak in very short time.

Thank you for such innovative ideas that i came across. In Switzerland is just so limited for Fertilizer A+B (negativity on Hydro Vege due to Cancer casusing reasons) for me it sounds more of business protection for the big fishes Supermarket like Coop,Migros,We live in high price of almost everything . I try to order Fertilizer online but guessing will be punished by Zoll tax declaration .. the only liquid fertilizer for hydroponic i found is from Vaxer, Ikea.ch which costs 5 Chf for 500 ml. NPK 5-3-7 ! which is rather for growing Seedlings and veg. stay tiny .. LOL

Thank you for this. I've barely planted a seed in my life but seem to have caught the bug now. (pun intended) I've been looking at the dutch bucket system and while it looks amazing I'm afraid to start that endeavour and would prefer your method because of its simpleness and cost effectiveness for now. My question regarding the polystyrene is if it's strong enough to hold the weight of growing tomato plants. Thank you for all your great videos.

That has been my main worry. I live in Puerto Rico. Mosquito all year round and when you have grand kids, you can't afford having mosquito around. Thank for this info. Loved and Subbed
