You can grow specific carrot varieties in flower boxes. Just look for carrots that are round or dwarf varieties. They are found at most stores and can be found easily on-line. I grow onions in seed trays in seed flats. You will be amazed at how the grow. Here are two great ways to have a container garden.

This is awesome! I am not sure where I will find seeds for carrots like that, and I have not even begun to look into onion seeds, but wow! I run my garden almost entirely container based, and have a grow closet like Praxxus55712's grow room, but exponentially smaller. I have lights that put out the equivalent of 600w incandescent, and I have these trays and seed cells. It is nice and warm and humid in there, and if I can grow carrots and onions in the winter, I certainly will try it! I need to find white onion seeds and carrot seeds like you recommend here… online somewhere? My town is rather bereft of good places to get a variety of seed. Do you have any further recommendations for someone in my situation? My lights are on from 6am to 10pm, and are on a timer. Great video, I keep going through your channel to find more, and you can thank Ray for the connection to your channel. 🙂 -Kim?

I garry first of all I want to thank you for your amazing educational video's. I harvest cucumbers. Peppers and tomatoes coming on nice. Garry I need your help. I purchased the premier peat moss at home depot to set my seeds and for my containers plant. I noticed centipede in the soil when I transplanted my vegetables. I killed them immediately. This morning when I was watering my plant's I saw another baby centipede. I hate centepede!! They bite really bad and they give me the creeps. What can I spray to kill any eggs/baby centipede in my plant containers without damaging them. Also sprays I can use for in my house to prevent then from coming in my house.?
