    Right as I was typing to ask if you dried enough peppers and tomatoes to last a whole year you spoke about it. Your garden is fantastic. You will have that fig forever. Is this your first time getting apples? Whoa that is a lot of butternut squash in one container. It must be huge.

    Looking good man. My Celeste fig does the same thing. Though, my Brown Turkey makes it through the winter fine.
    Just a suggestion since you have so many fruit trees and you live in the same area as me, I planted a Fuyu Persimmon from Nazo Landscaping (Durham,NC) a few years back and it has made it through some cold winters. It is native persimmon roots with a Fuyu spliced on top.
