    Absolutely, The drip rings support seedlings and clones until the roots grow into the DWC feed system where plants are provided the support they need through harvest. The system is designed to be used with the Sea of green growing technique where you veg the plants for less time and grow them closer together, resulting in more frequent harvests.

    Nice setup! Been using CFL lights with huge success for over three years, but I use more powerful systems. Check out cfl dash growlight dott com they have 1400w CFL systems that will fit into the same closet for cheap. that's where I got all 7 of mine. Good shit

    @DirtyGirlHydroponics "them" as in the mature plants. made a couple clones from Abusive OG today. i'm going to hold off on the HPS usage and continue to veg. oh and it's a 6500k 125W

    @DirtyGirlHydroponics thats the end of my CFL useage. i picked up a sweet 150W HPS from hydrofarm at my local hydro store. the light was producing enough heat for my clones. that youngling is an autoflower, so i ant sweating it, it'll get transplanted into a bigger pot in a few weeks . autos do what they do. the clones on the other hand get moved to the bathroom when the lights switch off. i might even go back to veg to get them a little bigger. might just go from SOG to regular grow.

    @xthexTxvirusx Very clever setup; I really enjoy stealth ingenuity. What color spectrum and wattage is that light? Also I dont grow soil but I feel like you could use smaller pots on some of those to increase your canopy size. Does the light get warm enough to heat the bottoms of your clones? If so setting them up there is genius! Id say bush them a bit more but you have multiple stages of growth and you dont wanna shade your younglings. Seems like you got it down; keep the updates comin!

    @lykaboss247 proper ventilation is always a must but not included with this package. I dont actually grow in that closet. It was set up as an example. Compared to HPS, CFL are much cooler and can get very close to your plants. But yes; ventilation in ANY enclosed system is recommended if not just to vent the heat, but cycle Co2 as well.

    @lykaboss247 Isn't* ideal for anyone

    CFL's are HOT, i run all blackstar LEDS myself, put a temp gage in there with the door shut for 24 hours then report back with temp. There is no exhaust or fan in that closet. The heat has to be HIGH. At 85F photosynthesis starts to grind to a halt. I like the Little hydro drip system but i don't think CFL's in that closet without proper ventilation and air circulation is ideal for anyone

    @tupzcanwell Proper spectrum for veg cycle is 6500K also referred to as cool, daylight or blue spectrum. These are easy to pick out from normal bulbs as they produce light with an obvious blue tint that most wouldnt prefer to use in home. For flowering or "budding" use 2700K bulbs, also known as white, warm or red spectrum bulbs. These produce light more typical to what you would see in a home. Get both and switch with your cycles or you can mix in multiple bulb setups like above.

    Hey tupzcanwell here ummm all new to growing whit cfl lights do you use to flower or bud your plant warm white or cool daylight and the best what to use in a grow box ?

  • DirtyGirlHydroponics 2 weeks ago

    @MaddGaming1 The entire system (light, water pump and air pump, uses close to 200 watts, equivelent to two houshold incandescent light bulbs; my regular power rate is is 13.8 cents per Kwh which comes to about $2.75 per day on a 20 hour day.
