Merino wool is known for its impressive qualities which make it a fantastic choice for all season camping, backpacking and hiking and it’s also known for its rather high price tag.
Today Luke is reviewing the Woolly Clothing Crew Neck t-shirt; is it going to be the best Merinon Wool Shirt Ever? What about the cost?
Find out now.

One quick question Luke, the arm and head holes, how stretchy are they? Needless to say, if you have a "big head," it won't be fun to take on and off as you have to force your head in and out of the hole. And if you're a muscular guy (or gal), arm holes need to be flexible without being tight. (And no, I didn't cringe at the end. 🙂 )
What a dork
Do these shirts run on the small or large size? Or are they a standard fit? I typically wear an XL
I will never buy anything made in China. They have been taking advantage of the USA for decades. But a great review once again.
I use tactical tshirts from helikon, absolutley awsome fit and wicks moisture. I stear clear of cotton cause it gets wet and cold with sweat.
Hey there! Wonderful Channel you have. I'm currently walking across the whole of Spain for a charitable foundation aand would appreciate you to look at my clips and even subscribe. I dropped you a like in this video too 😛

LMAO… Cute couple of goofballs…
They dont make a 2XL?
I prefer Icebreaker, but the Wooly's brand looks good.
I still think that $50 is a bit to high in price though.
Now that Ibex has gone out of business, prices will probably rise as Icebreaker, and Smartwool have the largest share of the wool clothing market between them.
I normally wait for the Icebreaker Clearance sale, and I am able to purchase high quality wool, and wool blend shirts, and sweaters at 50% to 70% off the normal price.
For example…I purchased the Aero Short Sleeve Crewe, color: Cyan, size: XXL
for $33.60.
The Aero is 120 gram Featherweight shirt, and is composed of 90% Merino wool, and 10% nylon, so it breathes and wicks great, and is more durable with the addition of the nylon.
The Aero is no longer available at Icebreaker, but can be found at Amazon in the color that you seem to like. https://tinyurl.com/y7jafxoc
Next, I purchased the Cool-Lite Sphere Short Sleeve Crewe color: Awesome Heather, size: XXL for $33.60.
The Cool-Lite Sphere has a fabric weight of 130 gram Featherweight, and is composed of 52% Merino Wool, 35% TENCEL®, 13% Nylon, so it is perfect for summer, or warmer climates, as the addition of the Tencel, and Nylon increase the wicking and breathing ability, while the wool retains it anti-microbial properties.

Next I purchased two of the Ika Long Sleeve Crewe, color: Mossy Oak, size: XXL, for only $28.00 each.
The Icebreaker Bodyfit 200 IKA Mossy Oak Base Layer Top Merino Wool has a fabric weight of 200 grams, and is 100% Merino Wool.
Again, this shirt is no longer available at Icebreaker, but I found it at EBAY.

I also purchased one half zip, Tech Top Long Sleeve sweater for $48 …
https://www.icebreaker.com/en/mens-baselayers/tech-top-long-sleeve-half-zip/104034.html?dwvar_104034_color=001
and two full zip Victory sweaters, all in 100% Merino wool, for $60 each.
https://www.icebreaker.com/en/mens-sweaters/victory-long-sleeve-zip/102405.html?dwvar_102405_color=002
I notice that Icebreaker tends to run smaller, so instead of an XL, I purchased XXL, based upon their size charts.
So it is obvious that you can get really good deals on high quality Merino Wool clothing if you take the time to wait for the deals to materialize.
I purchased seven high quality wool, and wool blend garments for $260 delivered.
That's about a $100 savigs over Wooly's, and several of the garments that I purchased were heavier weight, so normally more costly.
… and how's about the pants? 🙂
Gotta say, you cover so many brands I never heard of.
the ending was epic lol 🙂
Putting wool in the dryer will significantly reduce its lifespan. Just hang it over a banister to dry. It doesn’t take anymore effort than putting it in the dryer!
How tall are you and how much do you weigh ? So we will know how big a medium is.
Hii sweet page ☺ Keep it up!
