This video is of Tim and Maddy Harland’s beautiful no dig permaculture kitchen garden in Hapmshire UK. Tim and Maddy are the founders of the fantastic @Permaculture Magazine and have a tranquil vegetable garden, meadow and food forest at their home that has been maturing for 25 years! I hope that this is a prime example of what can be achieved in a relatively small space, and that you don’t always have to follow the norms when it comes to growing your own food.
No dig gardening is a wonderful method of growing food as it brings a whole host of benefits. Not only are you saving time and effort in the garden, you’re also improving the health of your soil and as a result, the health of your plants. I love the geometry that Maddy and Tim have with their triangle shaped raised beds, as well as a big emphasis on vertical gardening and permaculture principles.

Thanks for the video, very informative! What is the name of the tool used to cut weeds?
Gz for your property, most young people especially in Europe will never get that far alone. No Bank want to give me a credit that’s needed for the land prices in Germany. I’m screwed, sorry nature
Beautiful garden, great ideas. Great inspiration. Thank you!
How is the greenhouse set up to accommodate the peach tree? Is there a section which is not cemented or is the peach tree merely on the surface?
This is both beautiful and really informative!! Thank you! 🙂
Thank you for your valuable information. South Africa.
