For mor information regarding design & installation of Vertical Gardens & Green Walls please visit our web site at www.atlantisaurora.com For decades, China has been planting trees along the rim of the Gobi Desert. This “Great Green Wall” is the largest forestation project ever attempted, designed to stave off the encroaching desert and lessen the severity of dust storms in China’s populous northeastern region. As of 2006, 25 million hectares of new forest were growing. A new climate model study projects that when complete, this shelterbelt will be the environmental buffer that China hopes for. funny how when i start researching topic in planting tree in desert, people and media( even economist) like to condemn(with all reason they can find) china effort and just lick the butt of country like israel(they are planting tree in desert too, and start later than china). just saying, are you condemning because of 'reason' or because it is china? =) something to be think about.

Planting trees into pure sand without a source of daily water and no soil is useless. 50 more years of this will do absolutely nothing.  American museum of natural history should be seeking solutions to this disaster. A feel good video does nothing!
