    Your lovely garden is snuggling under the covers while mine is growing rampant here in Tassie summer where I had a week of frost and 2 weeks of 30 deg C in the "spring" month of November!

    the bird netting would be more effective raised off the ground. only needs to be 2" up. Tent-like would be easiest.
