March 2 & 3, 2018
Saskatoon, SK
There is a growing and vibrant school gardening community across Saskatchewan, collectively strengthening the relationships students have with agriculture, gardening, their food system and their environment. Educators are discovering that school gardens are a means of improving academic achievement, promoting healthy nutrition, demonstrating the principles of stewardship, and building curiosity, communication and character. School gardens help make learning come alive!
Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan and Little Green Thumbs are excited to offer this opportunity for educators to gather and share how garden-based education has come alive in their learning communities. Whether you are a beginner or a garden veteran, join us this March to learn and share innovative strategies for engaging students through garden-based education.
