Carrie and Doug discuss their reasons for returning to raised beds after several years of “big gardens” in this raised bed vegetable gardening for beginners video. They demonstrate building pine raised beds as well as show planting onion plants in a shallow box. Their raised bed garden will consist of three 12′ x 4′ x 12″ beds, five 12′ x 4′ x 10″ beds, and a couple of old boxes built from Trex decking material. Carrie discusses some upcoming plantings and shares pictures of gardens from the past. (Below are links to our website blog detailing our first foray into black plastic plasticulture.)
