This fairly common red/blue grow lamp has a rather pleasing array of 126 LEDs arranged as 90 red with a star of 36 blue.
Hyped power is 15W. Measured power is 5.5W. Actual power dissipated in LED panel is 5W.
Lamp uses a switching buck regulator that puts out 50V at 100mA and does NOT have an isolated output.
All solder joints on the front of the PCB should be treated as being at full mains voltage. This doesn’t seem like a very good idea for a grow light, as the plants will naturally grow towards the lamp and if a juicy shoot or stem touches any metal, then the whole plant will become live.

There are a great many different types of these low power grow lights now …They ARE worth considering because they use small chips , these are much more efficient than 3W chips commonly used in big unit's , will cut your power bill by a quarter for the same light output but you will need about 80 of these lamps per square meter of grow space

These lamps are sold to dope growing drug dealers – so it doesn't really matter If the lights are safe .
Can you host and narrate BBC Nature documentaries when David Attenborough kicks the bucket?
What iron do you use?
Have anyone ever told you that you sound like Robin Williams.
Your posh voice is hilarious
I often wonder how people use these low power grow lights … plants need about 500W per square meter of growing area ( thats the electrical power delivered to the led's) so a lamp like this gives enough light for an area 10cm by 10cm … that's roughly the area of the lamp itself … to get decent growth the lamps would have to be stacked close together.
Don't worry about shocks … they help keep you awake.
you are very far with your videos, the good and bad,
keep up good work
I love your videos 2, I know you saved a life or two putting the truth out about these junk china led's, they make a new company up everyday and repackage the same leds in different housing with different descriptions each one better that the next, now they realized if they buy a warehouse in u.s.a. and sell their products without a china location on ebay, people will buy 10x as much. Ebay is so out of hand, 1/3 is a seller or buyer scammer
dude can i get a link to where you bought it? i need it for reasons. totaly legal reasons.
nice accent, and your flow of information is spot on,,, thank you
I have that meter. My dad bought 2 one for him one for me, for the princely sum of $7 total back in the days of parity with the greenback. It hasn't missed a beat.
I am no electronic genius by any means lol so I am real thankful for your vids..Thanks so much and subbed
Oh God, the sponsored item listings below the video (mobile).
These Chinese are trying to kill us
😛 NO surprise. China (& others alike), LOVES to lure people (with false-info) to their cheap-crap-junk products in order to sell them easier.
An example: those crappy "300 psi" 12v air compressors!! LOL!! those bloody fkn pumps could barely go over 120psi. but, the meter attached to it falsely read over 240psi! Junk Bull$#!T!
Hopefully Trump will stop all that junk from China (and places alike)! For the sake of CONSERVATION !
The blue ones are flickering. I would test to see if the blues are powered by AC.
3:20 AM? should have waited till 4:20
