Be careful using potting soils and other organic soils bag soils inside your house always use a sterile grow medium Pete works good Coco coir works good. By the way what type of LED grow lights are you using? There is lots of very high-end LED grow lights on the market just look for one that has a full spectrum and it's lighting high in the Blues and the Reds. I do a little bit of indoor gardening as well something to do when it's cold outside

My 1st attempt at Hydrophonics was a success , very easy, get 4" PVC pipes cut 4" holes on tops every 12-14 inchesor so ,put 3"net pots, buy seedlings from nursery and plant in middle of Roxul looking media ,put drip irrigation running from tiny water pump ,circulating small amount of fertilizer ,(I used Miracle Gro) ,actually best to buy from those selling gro-op stores , they will also have all the info. I had 25-30 net pots and was harvesting collard ,Swisschards, Bokchoy ,lettuce, Beet leafs. You can start all these now, by the time spring comes you will be harvesting leaves for three families every day, I used the leaves for Masticating juicer, The best is Angel Juicer. @$1500 Canadian $, if you're into green juicing , I have tried every single one of them, Angel juicers are the best and should last you 10 yrs or more, others are plastic parts. The PVC pipes can be snaked from top to bottom, empty to a 5 gallon pail , Check Youtube for more tutorials. Don't harvest the whole plant , harvest the leaves only . Also plant Bitter Melon (Ampalaya),for colon ,bowel cleansing ,I like to juice it, leaves and fruit are edible,as Yna knows.
I also grew Wheat Grass quite a bit , but was just too much work ,I prefer Bitter melon juice for cleansing.

One thing you might wanna consider growing the when you move there. Mushrooms they're very easy and very low cost and self reproducing. Mushrooms here can be expensive I don't know about the Philippines

I buy green scallions onions put them in a cup of water. Change the water about every day or 2. Then when I need more onions I just cut off what I need and they keep growing. It actually works very well

Place a small bowl upside down on a plate. Cover it with a growth medium. I used a layer of flattened cotton balls in the past. Stretch them to create a thin coat of cotton covering the bowl. Pour water in the plate. Cotton will be wet all the time as long as there is some water in the plate. This technique prevents over-watering and makes it easier to maintain the right water level for your greens. Even if you pour too much water, it will remain at the bottom, and your growth medium won't be over-soaked.
