Next time you have trouble, you can buy and use ladybugs for aphids. Amazing results and all natural!
Hope to see you soon at cabo mx!
Awesome job…. and kinda addictive book again…. Thanks!
Just get some lady bugs for your aphids they always work for me
Great stuff! Have you thought about creating a Patreon as opposed to the paypal support on your website?
Can't really use hardcore chemical pesticides on basil either. Cuz u eat it.
You ever considered growing gourmet mushrooms? Some can go for $10 a pound to restaurants. It'll be easy for u to get sales, although mushrooms are sensitive, so I don't know if you should really make a deal with a chef. Some gourmet mushrooms just look hella good. Maybe ladybugs would do a better job at killing aphids, although you have probably already considered that. They might stay longer idk.
vertical grower is something of the future as something they can use in space for real
What kind of jacket are you wearing?
What kind acquit meant I need to make my own label or software if needed
Do you happen to have a video of you picking and packaging basil. I'm curious how best to sell it. Do you just do a bag of leaves or a bag of tops?
Curtis, if you have an aphid problem in trays, have you ever tried freezing the trays complete with aphids. Do they survive? Clearly the basil won't survive but it may nuke the aphids.
Lemon juice and Cayenne pepper spray. Gets rid of a lot of bugs… Works on my tomatoes. No more tomato bugs either. Spray it on liberally and wait a few days, then rinse with water to wash out the cayenne.
Diatomaceous earth will work but it loses effectiveness once wet so keep the bed dry enough for it to work on the soil. You can also dust it onto the plant leaves and stems to get the adults feeding on the stems – wear a dust mask, put some of the diatomaceous earth on a simple feather duster and have at it. It probably doesn't taste very good, but you can eat it right from the bag without harm so no residual chemical concerns with it (it is not a pesticide, it works through mechanical action not chemical).
I was really enjoying your video but then shuddered in horror at the idea of you flame weeding to death sentient beings who DO feel pain. Find a more humane way – you are an amazing grower and have done amazing things so you can definitely rise to that challenge too!
I was thinking about a plastic wall also to build, but then i realize that PCB's go from the plastic to the plant
why don't you use the water from dehumidifier for watering the plants??
hey the water the dehumidifier is collecting you say you let drain off how bout water the plants with that water ??
