A simple kratky hydroponic setup. I am testing how much light lettuce needs to grow. This 54 watt t5 will run for 12 hours a day in hopes to grow out 9 lettuce plants. That’s just 6 watts per plant! A Kratky hydroponic system uses no pumps, just light and nutrient solution in order to grow your plants. This method will work with most plants, however you may need to change the reservoir for longer growing plants. Lettuce should be perfect because it can grow out in just 30-40 days in hydroponics.
