Students in 2nd Grade at Lindo Park School in Lakeside, CA observed the Life Cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly. In this movie, students can see the life cycle take place right before their eyes by watching time lapse footage beginning with caterpillars all the way to butterflies. Teacher Kay Little filmed the life cycle using an iPod Touch and the TimeLapse app. Video Rating: / 5 Related PostsAmazing Life Cycle of a Monarch ButterflyGrow Your Own Mushroom Kit Time Lapse (3 Day Growth Cycle)Science: Plant Life Cycle/ SeedsLearn About Plants – Life CycleScience: Plant Life Cycle / Plant Parts / Plant NeedsScience: Plant Life Cycle / Plant Parts / Plant Needs

OH I HAD ONE OF THOSE SO LONG AGO! I hated it. I'm terrified of butterflies.

Those took 5 days to turn into a chrysalis and I have the exact same thing but mine are on day 14 and not a chrysalis yet, or even in a 'J' shape!

Thank you Lindo Park School in Lakeside, CA! I was able to properly identify the Painted Lady Butterfly caterpillar from your video. We have several crawling around in our garden here in San Diego – one of which has gone into the Chrysalis stage.
