onions, leave them grow and just trim the greens…
Very cool.
There are about 20 common vegetables than can be re-grown this way. There are a few links about it on Pinterest :)
Well, I've known this all my life… suprised this seems to come as a surprise to you!
This goes for so many vegetables, such as pak choy, leeks and spring onions, enjoy it 🙂 !
I'd heard about Celery but not the lettuce.. let me know how the cabbage works!!
Pretty cool right?! It works great with Kale too
Onions work too.
We do this at home. We have a leek and some lettuce growing. But I wasn't putting them in the ground fast enough. One lasted for 5 weeks, then started to rot. We also put potato eyes in the ground after soaking for a couple of days and they are growing like crazy! I can't wait to see more of this experiment from a real gardener.
My little brother started out a bunch of plants in jars of water this year. He did the whole beans and seeds wrapped in wet paper towels thing. Nature is pretty darn awesome…you learn new stuff all the time!
Amazing tip
