One of those rare songs that puts unwritable feelings into words. These seldom come along.

The concert being shown in this clip can be found here on youtube under this title: Randy VanWarmer Just When I Needed You Most live on The Midnight Special. Warning: they make it "upbeat", and I'm not sure why. It isn't really the same song. There is also a real video for this song, again, here on youtube, under this title: Randy VanWarmer – Just when I needed you most (video/audio edited & restored) GQ. It's kinda cheesy. But the song is still great.

This is such a beautiful song. I remember when it was out. It's surprising that he didn't have a longer career. His voice is so beautiful. So sad to hear that he died of Leukemia.

When I was young I hurt so bad over a girl that I renamed the song so that every time I heard it, I sang to myself: You left me just when I made you french toast. Silly stupid but it helped a bit.
