There are dozens of ways to prepare your planting bed for an abundant vegetable harvest. I happened to find a garden bed with decent soil and decided to fix it up for the season.     I love that you teach how to protect your back! I do almost all elevated and raised bed gardening for the same reason. We have to take care of our backs and necks to be able to garden for the rest of our lives. Great video

    Do you suggest that people do a soil test on their beds since may people use their own soil rather than top soil? You didn't mention what was below the compost. Great thing about compost is it attracts tons of worms so you get your own worm poop!

    It's a good idea to plant some cover crops in that bed to attract some worms to make castings in the bed. Oats are a pretty cover crop grass and it grows knee high.
