He kind of overlooks important information about the light spectrum of this grow light. of course this really about the 'station' portion of his project.?
I'm curious, and this is probably a stupid question, but does it have to be a fluorescent bulb? Can we use LED bulbs??
slick and cheap like me, LOL Thanks!?
good information?
nice?
how much food did you grow? are their better lights? i heard of red lights, apparently the red light has different wavelength which the plants take in better for photosynthesis.?
Isn't F/light
I built one of these today.

Grass planting?
Awesome! This worked out great for me – Very easy to put together and is a great system for the money – THANK YOU for the instructions :D?
You can use Krylon paint to paint your PVC if you don't like the look of the PVC.
Thanks for sharing this idea. I built it. It was fun and easy and cheap.?
Hi Gary, first I just want to say your two channels are awesome, your videos are always to the point and educational, thank you for making them.
Now a couple of questions for you. I just made this set up with the pvc pipes but I had a real hard time finding a good enough T8 or T12 lamp so I bought a large CFL kit from a local hydroponics shop but it's still not quite big enough for my needs. The T lamps only went as far as 4000K, do you think I could get away using them for the time being until I can track down better bulbs? The lumens were good enough. (I'm aiming to have a set up like yours ready for next spring).
I did find a 6500K tube light but it was a novelty UV light for teenagers bedrooms, would mixing that with the 4000k lights work do you think? Thanks again, Rob.Edit. I have one of those sodium HID lamps but the heat from it starts to cook the plants within a few minutes, it's about 8 inches from the the tops of the plants, might be more ideal for larger plants but by then they are planted outside, seems like its only good enough for weed growers.?
Hi Gary, I just wanna say that you're videos are so incredibly instructive and helpful for the beginner gardner! I was just wondering if you knew by any chance how much does it cost (electric bill wise) approximately to keep the grow lights on for the duration of the seed starting? Thanks!?
T-12 bulbs are outdated due to short life and poor output I use T-5 HO 56 WATT PLANT LIGHTS. 4 bulbs in the fixture with a huge output of light. Line the area outside the pants with cardboard covered in foil will help with increase of light due to reflecting light that would have been lost outside the area. ?
Thanks for the video ,i love it !?
thank you for your video.?
Would you recommend this project or the grow box? You gave an update on the grow box, and its contents are insightful, do you have any similar thoughts for this style??
What's the difference between ?8 and t12 ?
Awesome video!?
