Life is blooming at one mountain day care. As you’ll see in today’s Never Stop Learning, that means it’s time to tune up their taste buds. It’s harvest time at Eliada Child Development. Back in May, Ms. Amy and Ms. Tina’s classes sewed the seeds in their small playground garden. Now they’re enjoying cucumbers, squash, green beans and herbs. Teachers say the garden is a great way to explain a plant’s life cycle. They also teach them about an important insect that the garden couldn’t grow without. The plant project was so successful this year the two classes won Eliadas’ Fantastic 4 Award. To celebrate, the kids were given an ice cream party! The kids of the Edgewood Community Learning Garden interviewing each other about what they love about the garden.
