Want a weed free vegetable garden? This weed fabric provides a natural weed control. This is a follow up to our weed barrier video we did here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzB9F0o7X3k&index=21&list=PL1175375BBAD3FF0A

I believe this is considered organic weed control, either way, its a great weed fabric to keep down weeds.

Buy the garden fabric we use here: http://amzn.to/1fpizZR

You might ask at your local nursery or greenhouse if they have any remnants of the weed fabric they will sell you. This fabric was sewn together by a neighbor, you may be able to find someone with a heavy duty sewing machine.

I love this idea! So hard to remove weed around the good plants! I think I need to invest on doing this next year!
I found some wild purslane growing in a crack in front of our mailbox and I was going to harvest it…but, my brother mowed the lawn and used the weed wacker and took it out! So sad!

That's some great stuff. I'll have to try it in my garden boxes, I have wood chips everywhere else. I've never eaten the purslane, I pull it out and through it away. I'll have to try it. Thanks you guys, Kim

"Only good for a baseball bat"?  Here is an idea for you (maybe even a video? Hint, Hint), cut you huge zucchini in half and scoop out the seeds, drizzle some olive oil, fill with your favorite "stuffed pepper" filling, a little breadcrumbs on top with a few small dollops of butter for a crispy crust, and bake…. Mmm, Mmm, Good… Good Luck, +Blessings

I'm gonna go pier fishing tomorrow in Upper New York Bay. Weather permitting. Haven't gone fishing in about 15 years, can't wait. I got new hooks (3/0, 5/0), line (12 lb. test) and sinkers (4 3/4 ounces, may not be heavy enough) and practicing my knots.

I tried this method a few years ago, but with thick black plastic. Mistake. That mesh looks like a MUCH better idea, and it looks like it comes in pretty big rolls. Any idea how many years it lasts?

I think I would try that weed "carpet" stuff, the only downside that I see is crop rotation. You would want to move placement around based on the types of crops your growing right? My husband would also like to burn holes in the mat with a torch as well…pretend its a light saber or some such thing.

I've done this before, but I put mulch on top, and the mulch allowed some weeds to grow on it. I will try this method next time. Are there any issues with the black barrier absorbing the heat from the sun to harmful levels for some plants?

I won't rat out your labs.
