The University of New Mexico Hydrology Lab and Weston Solutions has constructed a physical model of the future Tijeras Arroyo Sediment Retention Facility to optimize the design of the facility before construction. This project is on the Tijeras Arroyo between I-25 and Broadway in Albuquerque, NM. The goal is to capture sediment before the arroyo enters a concrete trapezoidal section, reducing long term maintenance costs.
