Beautiful garden. What kind of tips can you give about growing summer squash like early white bush scallop?

As of today, we've gotten about 14 off the plants. I have one stem with about a 2 1/2" diameter. I call it an Okra tree. LOL We're in zone 7b in Western/NW Arkansas.

Oh and if your fruit is being supported up in the netting, you don't have to worry about underside rot and you can grow invasive stuff like the melons in less space 😉

You can trellis those items, if you give the melons support. You can tie off the support to the trellis netting and support the bottom of the melon and then tie off to another section of netting. Think of it like a hammock for the fruit. I've also heard of folks using fruit "bras" for the melons, but my wife won't let me do that because of what the neighbors might think 😉

I have never seen anyone trellis watermelon, pumpkins or cantaloupes. Wont they be too heavy to hang as they grow and ripen?? I have always been told they need to run on the ground. Maybe you know something I dont….Please advise.

Took back the 50 gallon and purchased the Ace 20 gallon hose end sprayer. Gonna spray down my plants tonight!

Thanks for all your help and keep up the good videos

I use a 20 gallon hose end sprayer. All of the ingredients are conditioned on that. A 50 gal. sprayer will dilute the tonic too much. You can turn it into a 25 gallon sprayer by finding a drill bit that fits the vent hole, going up once size and making it wider. If you have an Ace hardware nearby, they should have 20 gallon sprayers though. They're handy for putting the apple juice into for setting blossoms too 😉

Reaganite I went and bought me a compact hose end sprayer. They only had the 50 gallon ones, do I still pour in the mixture like normal and just spray the plants?

Sorry for all the questions just trying to figure out how much to use.

    Thanks

The reason I am asking because I know he said something about a 20 gallon sprayer.

    thanks

Great Video….Question on your Dads all purpose tonic. I just have a gallon sprayer. Can I just mix up everything in the gallon sprayer and spray directly on the leaves or should I add water to dillute it?

    thanks

Thanks Stymye. I can't wait. I've got a salsa recipe that puts Totstitos Restraunt style to shame. Plus, I'm tired of paying for it lol.
