A resident of Neredmet in Secunderabad is growing paddy on his roof. Civil engineer Ganesh Babu and wife planned to have roof garden to fight pollution in the city. They constructed their house in such a manner that the rooftop not only is extra thick but also water proof. The roof garden that started of with flowering, fruit and vegetable plants a couple of years ago, has now turned into a small size paddy field, promising at least 30 kgs of rice.
