its cuz u need more blue light
Is the light intensity between the two fixture comparable?
can you please tell me how exactly are the LED light strips called? and how much did they cost? thank you, kind regards.
Can you do a video on how your stand is built looks like you have two sections on top and a long section on the bottom thanks abunch
Thanks for helping me decide I think I will go with LED thanks Katie!
Love the color them led's put off. Try checking your lumen output with the led lights could be lower than the t5's. From my experience plants need a lot of lumens to grow good.
Katie, how big of an area did you cover with the 6 bulb t5 fixture, and how many plants were you able to grow in that space? your vids are great! thank you
Get those LED's closer, You can have them inches away, you'll see a huge improvement. 🙂
A combination of both 🙂
what make the crops growes faster is it LED or
Hydroponic System
Can you tell me how much those led cost?
Nice and net set up!!! Great video I will get LED just for the fact there are mercury free and more energy efficient
LED have to be a lot closer to the plants honey 1 to 2 inch. And the T5 can go down to 1 to 2 inch from top of plants try that and see them bloom
The ratio is supposed to be a 2R:1B that should sort it out. sorry for the late reply
What about those on SmartMeters, where the price per usage changes depending on time of day? Will that device work?
I have so much to learn too. So the people that sent the lights to me made a lighting plan. Then I read in the lighting brochure that each LED light can replace two fluorescents. Since the Hort Americas light guy is trained in lighting I just went with his recommendation and made an educated guess for the t5's. I think I want to try less t5's though. I had some tip burn on a few heads. I believe I forgot to mention that in the update. I want to try alternating t5's and LED's at some point.
I posted an update. Sorry it was a bit late. I was avoiding a catastrophe. lol. Thanks for watching!
Nice waiting for the next update!
This side by side comparison is very interesting. Thank you for sharing your results. I am really looking forward to the end results. This may be a silly question, but how did you determine the number of lights for this comparison. For example, you have 6 of the T5 bulbs but only 3 strings of LEDs. Did you go by lumens? I have so much to learn. Thanks again.
Thanks for the great info. I am working on lowering them this week and installing more fans.
