The last couple of years our tomatoes have shown a phosphorus deficiency,
but mostly because of the temperature in the basement (55 degrees). The
colder temperature seems to affect their phosphorus uptake. But once they
were moved into warmer temperatures, they came out of it. Great video!?
Jim, are container grown or field grown plants subject to this same
phosphorus deficiency? I ask because two summers ago, many of my container
grown plants exhibited the same purplish veins in the leaves, even up to
the point that they were fruiting. They seemed weak, but otherwise OK. I
was afraid to over fertilize them so they may have actually had the
phosphorus deficiency.?
